The Regan Mead Neighborhood is moderately priced with homes ranging from $150K to $240K. Constructed in 2004-2005 by Lennar and Emerald/DR Horton Builders the homes are primarily one-story 3 bedroom/2 bath homes with a few two-story floor plans included. Many of the homes are owned by investors as lease properties. A few of the homeowners are families who live in Mexico most of the year, but vacation in The Woodlands periodically. There are currently five active listings on the market at an average of $215K. Considering the homes that have sold in the last year, the average days on market for the neighborhood is 50 days that is about average for The Woodlands.

As I drove around the neighborhood I met Jeanna Yochim, who has lived in Regan Mead since July of 2005. Unlike most buyers, Jeanna and her family purchased their Lennar 4 bedroom 2.5 bath two-story home sight unseen. They had previously lived in the Houston and determined that The Woodlands was where they wanted to settle relocating from California. A safe and family oriented neighborhood was of primary

importance to the Yochims. Reagan Mead fit the bill. Unlike Lauren and Andy, Jeanna has a wonderful relationship with her neighbors. With many transplants from other areas of the country Jeanna reports that a few of her neighbors and their families met at a restaurant to celebrate and share in Thanksgiving dinner.Reg
