Wilde Creek The Woodlands Tx

Creekside Park is the eighth village of The Woodlands located between Gosling and Kuykendahl south of Woodlands Parkway.  As you drive through the development Creekside Park YMCA The Woodlandsyou can’t help but notice the overwhelming number of parks, trails, lakes, trees and more! Creekside Park is in the process of building a 9th grade campus that is part of the Tomball Independent School District and there are more “on-site” schools proposed for construction. There is a New Haven House of Prayer being built and even a YMCA to serve the village coming in 2009.

The newest project completed is the Rob Fleming Family Aquatic Center that has opened with rave reviews and is essentially a classy water park in the heart of The Woodlands.   There is a lazy-river ride, tubing and more. Once inside Creekside you Creekside Park The Woodlands YMCAsoon regret not having brought your bike, Frisbee, picnic or all three because it is so “outdoor friendly.” It is built to feel like a giant park with its abundant green spaces, ponds and opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Wilde Creek is one of the first neighborhoods to be developed in Creekside Village which is the newest and last village to be developed in The Woodlands.  The neighborhood sales have gone very well thus far and the area seems to appeal to a lot of Woodlands home buyers.

Village Builders Creekside Park The Woodlands

Since Wilde Creek is still under development, there are still on-site builders, offering their homes on Wilde Creek home lots.  The builders include Village Builders, David Weekley Homes, Plantation Homes, and Wilshire Homes.  The home prices range from the $280k’s – $600k’s.  There seem to be more 2-story than 1-story homes. Most of them have 2 car garages, but there are a few 3 car garages.  The Homes are built on 50 and 60 ft lots. They vary from 2,500 – 2,800 sq.ft and the front elevations are mostly brick and stone. Most of the homes have some type of wooden shutter décor on the exterior of the windows which I am noticing is a common theme in this area and really add to the outdoors/natural feel of the community fences are made of wood but there are a few wrought iron sections which really expand the views!

The developer and builders have done a good job preserving as many mature trees

and natural vegetation as possible which is a trademark of the Creekside Village. The clean curbs and clean landscaping really promote this area.

Across the street from the standard single-family homes you find gorgeous patio homes being built by Darling Homes and Highland Homes. They range from $450k – $800k. Most of these lots back up to a small, serene lake and the homes are spectacular!  The majority are fenced with wrought iron to maintain the view. My favorite feature of the Patio homes are the “Casitas” a.k.a. mother-in-law suites that are detached from the rest of the home.  It feels like a studio type apartment being a room with a bathroom that is built in front of the main home area, yet is congruent to the rest of the home, very cool.

Wilde Creek The Woodlands Bike Trails

It is on one of the many 8 ft pathway trails that I ran into one of Creeksides’ residents, John.  He was stretching by his car getting ready to take advantage of the wonderful Creekside ambiance and it is for that exact reason that John and his wife decided to move to the area. He moved into his new construction house 6 months ago and has loved every minute of it. He and his wife love the quite outdoor feeling, quiet streets and abundance of trees and entertainment! He doesn’t plan on moving anytime soon, but if he could change one thing he would prefer Creekside’s location to be a little farther North toward the middle of The Woodlands for the sake of convenience and saving a few minutes even though it is only a 10 minute drive.

I spoke to another resident, Carol, who is 6 months pregnant and is excited to start her family in such a great, new community. She has enjoyed being able to take her

afternoon walks with her dog, Russ, and have so many ponds, trails and trees to look at. She also has loved getting to know her neighbors and says they are all wonderful. In her words, she really appreciates that Creekside Village “all inclusive” with its schools, churches, aquatic center, parks, YMCA shopping and the rest that is to come all within neighborhood. If she could change anything about her new neighborhood she would have it be closer to I-45 so that her husband could get home faster!

The rustic trails, outdoor fun and beautiful homes of Wilde Creek help make this Creekside Village extend the charm and beauty of The Woodlands just a little South and the residents are really enjoying the lifestyle.
